International Women's Day is on 8 March 2024
This year, "Count on Me" is the theme that Metro is adopting for International Women's Day.
Metro is proudly partnering with Groomed to Go Inc, a not-for-profit organisation that helps provide clothing and support services to those in need. Groomed to Go started its journey as Dress for Success Mornington Peninsula, a local branch of the globally recognised Dress for Success organisation, empowering women to achieve economic independence through a dressing and job support service.
Groomed to Go Inc work tirelessly to provide casual work wear to people who need it, such as those who are job-seeking or have recently gained employment and in need of appropriate clothing or those who have recently been released from prison and need clothing and accessories to help make their fresh start a positive experience.
This year, Metro is championing Dress for Success’s Empower Hour to empower more than 750 women across Australia into employment.
Women are the first to be impacted by economic downturn. But when women are empowered to work, families thrive, and communities prosper. It starts with Her. You can give a woman the opportunity to step into her future.
